What To Do In Lorne
If you thought the only thing Lorne had on offer for tourists was the most beautiful beaches, you would be sorely mistaken! While it is true that the beaches are one of the biggest draw cards for people coming to Lorne, it has so much more on offer for visitors, regardless of age and/or budget. Whether you're just staying for the long weekend or plan to spend a couple of weeks camping in Lorne, there is always some type of activity you can become involved with or a new destination for you to visit and explore.
Most people head to Lorne after knocking off from work at 5pm on a Friday evening and typically arrive within a few hours. Instead of just having a motel meal and heading to bed, why not book a reservation at a local restaurant (but do so in advance) and begin your holiday the moment you arrive.
Lorne has many fine dining establishments and being a seaside village, many restaurants offer seafood dishes. Imagine you and your partner eating the freshest of seafood while the water peacefully crashes upon the rocks and the open fire keeps the two of you warm. After dinner, you both can take a stroll along the pier and gaze upon the stars, watch the local fishermen catch fish or even do a little night fishing yourself. Don't worry if no-one else is out and about on the pier; the local seals will keep you company! Just be sure to bring them a snack.
